Fitness is a buzz word today. Get up in the morning there are people of all ages, genders, sizes and shapes walking or jogging on the road. Parks are full of people walking or exercising. Gyms have a lot of aspiring people walking off treadmills and throwing weights around in the hope of getting that perfect body as soon as possible. Diets, health foods, health drinks and the list goes on and on and on. Very few people actually manage to reach their goals.
Fitness is a word that applies to the spirit, soul and body. The YMCA came up with that and emphasized on a healthy spirit, mind and body. However fitness is not something you can do for a few minutes a day though some components do take a few minutes a day.
Fitness is a lifestyle. Its a level of physical and mental well being higher than what a persons's daily life demands that can be achieved through training.
We have to remember that we got to keep working on this and there are numerous benefits to being fit. It does require a level of discipline and commitment. Its not just some thing you do for three days and walk away. It carries out through your day and throughout your night.
As you strive to reach your goals remember that it takes passion, hope, faith, time, patience and commitment. Fitness is one of the few things in life that are very fair. You can never make a bad investment in fitness. Whatever you put into it you will get out of it. So make a decision and stay by it. There are lots of people who have taken the journey and are enjoying the benefits.
